Dr. Avery D. Alexander

Laser vision specialist and medical director of Alexander Eye Institute, Dr. Alexander, is a national leader and pioneer in laser vision correction, having performed several thousand laser vision correction procedures. As Wisconsin's leading refractive surgeon, he was among the first eye surgeons to perform LASIK procedures for vision correction, and also served as a clinical investigator for the VISX excimer laser.

Board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Alexander is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he received his medical degree at Stanford University Medical School, and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the noted Kellogg Eye Institute. Like many of his patients, Dr. Alexander stays very active. He is trained in the martial arts and enjoys the active lifestyle of the Fox Valley. He is an avid tennis player, as well as an accomplished pianist.
